As we said in the last post, Dubrovnik is set in a valley in the south of Croatia. It is on the Adriatic Sea which is crystal clear, and at this time of year is just at that point when, as you enter the water it is cool enough to make you take a breath, but is very pleasant when you get in. Although the locals say that they had rain recently, we have had nothing but clear skies and upper 20's.

The attractions here are tons of souvenir shops, several museums, at least one concert each day in a church usually, the wall walk from 10 am till 7 pm and the streets which are very beautiful.
In the early 90's what was Yugoslavia broke apart and ethnic lines appeared and war broke out. Croatia was attacked by the Serbs and Montenagrans. We had 3 great days here. Yesterday we boarded a boat in the old harbour and travelled about 45 minutes south to Cavtat, (pronounced Savtat). But we will remember Dubrovnik for its beauty, and its steps.
If you find spelling mistakes in these it's because my computer thinks I'm writing in Croatian and every word is incorrect. Surely that can't be possnible do you thirk?
