I Hate All Of You !!!

I was driven to it. Well, actually I walked, but really, 14 sardines!

Let me begin at the beginning. On Tuesday morning we huffed all of our stuff to the ferry and moved to Cavtat. This is a much smalled village south of Dubrovnik which is clearly visible from here on the hill where we are living. It consists of a vibrant jetty where many international yachts tie up. The most spectacular one, Klosters, was out of Gibralter. You can google it as I didn't take a picture of this 154 foot beauty.
There are several restaurants and a few shops, but it is quieter and much cheaper to be here than in Dubrovnik. We have discovered a great swimming area where we go for the day. Yesterday I went to the restaurant by the beach and asked if they could do fish and chips like the English do. They assured me that they would grill me some sardines and put them with chips and it would be great. Well, I thought back to the sardines that we had in Portugal, about 10 inch fish very good. So lunch came around and we all ordered and everyone got really good stuff, and I got 14!!! little sardines with tons of bones piled on top of my chips. They got really nice porkchops and chicken and sausages, and I had all these little fish. Can you blame me for crying out in my grief that I was upset?
In their defence, Sheelagh gave me one of her porkchops, Kathy one of her chicken breasts, or chicken chests as they call them here and Jimmy one of his sausages. I ate the sausage first because I detected a little reluctance on Jimmy's part.
Seriously, we have had a great time here. The Grahams head out tomorrow a bit later in the afternoon and we stay until Sunday.
