Glasgow part two.

When we came to Glasgow for Christmas we about froze to death and we thought that we should give the city a second chance. It is much better now.

Dorian has to work this week so Shush and I are exploring by ourselves. We got a 7 day bus pass and went looking for any National Trust places that were in the city. The one for yesterday was called The Tenement House. This is a 4 room home that belonged to a Miss Toward from 1911 to 1964. She was a typist for a shipping company and her Mom was a seamstress. They were solid middle class folk. When Miss Toward became ill in 1964, she went to hospital and never returned to the flat. Her lawyer paid the rent for 10 years, 31 pounds a year, and when she left this mortal coil the lady who got the place saw what a snapshot in time it was and sold it to the national trust.

After some more strolling through the neighbourhood, we came home and made a supper for Dorian.

Here are a few shots of the city and the Botanical Gardens.
