Madrid, Easy Jet is not easy.

After a final spit and polish, we all waved goodbye to Playa Blanca and set off for the Aeroporto. That was the easy bit. Lanzarote airport is large and a good thing too. The tour buses arrive and kick out this weeks leavers to stand in long lines and wait for Easy Jet to open its desk. Then it seems that there is a plane to take those Graham folk to London, but not to take the Stone folk to Madrid. It appears that they forgot they had to do that and had to go somewhere far away and get a plane. So, after sitting and waiting a very long time, they came and took us to Madrid.
The flight took 2 hours and 10 minutes and had a bumpy descent. In the Madrid terminal you can get on the Metro train and for about $6 Canadian, for both of us, and that includes the special airport fee, we could go anywhere in this city. Calgary could learn a few things here. The trains are spotless, colourful, cheap and packed. It took us about 45 minutes and two line changes to get within 300 metres of our B&B.
The Abracadabra B&B in great. Check it out at www.abracadabrabandb.com

  1. I would like to know my ADD riddled father-in-law exactly how long you had to wait at the airport. You make it sound like you spent days there, last I heard your plane was delayed by one hour, was it not? In this picture you look exactly like Liam sitting on the bed typing away. It is sort of creepy. (I guess technically he looks like you)
