Real life. We've been home for a month and a half and made no entries. Life has taken on a pattern of regularity. We work, we socialize and Sheelagh plans for our year away.
We now have a month set in the Canary Islands in Jan. 2010. Lanzarota will be our home with the Grahams. We will also be exchanging our small Cotswold place for a larger one for the month of May. We hope that Liam and family will be coming over and the Grahams again and Dorian might make his way down.
The most exciting development is the actual booking of passage on the Queen Mary from NYC to Southhampton on Nov 5th. We received notification of an upgrade option for that crossing and so we now will be in a stateroom with a window and small balcony. You may well ask, "Of what use will be a balcony in the North Atlantic in November?". Good point oh thou of pessemistic turn. I, however, do believe in global warming, and see myself, in my tuxedo, with coffee and a croissant in a deck chair on said balcony with a Cunard lacky hovering in the background enquiring if there is anything else I require.
We had a fun Little Britches weekend with the Edmonton Branch. There were a couple of sunny days for the wee ones to play in the park, and a gray, cool day for the parade. (See photos).
