Life's good.

Just felt a profound sense of wellbeing today. We are a blessed couple. After the weekend with our wonderful kids from Edmonton, and a couple of chats with our lad in Glasgow, I was moved by the wonder of family. Health, love and humour are fibres that bind us together. I sometimes struggle with the fact that we are spread about so. At the same time, it is empowering to have the world to wander. As I look at Ngila and Beatrix, I wonder where they will find home. I am so proud of my boys. Liam, with his ability to absorb information and apply concepts is a wonder to me. Dorian, who found the courage to leave this place and go where he felt that he belonged is inspiring. Sheelagh, who brings strength of faith and purpose to our family. At the same time she makes me laugh and allows me to see myself more clearly.

Weekend with the fam

We had a great weekend with Liam , Janelle, Beatrix and Ngila. We swam, played, read lots of books, especially the 'nake book. Robin Hood cartoon video, swimming and warning people of the SALT WATER!!!, singing and dancing in church as Grandma took the service on the second floor of the hospital, patting the horses at Horse Meadows, (Spruce Meadows to the uninitiated) jumping over jumps in the riding arena, as Moon Dash and Autumn Wing or Cotton 'nake sometimes. Grandma and Mum even got to see the AMOZING ROSS!!

What a great day. It started with a call to Dorian. He had been at a men's conference and was comfortably reclining in his new flat. Following a leisurely morning and lunch, we headed west to Black Diamond. The mountains were beautiful as we drove west. There we toured one of our favorite art galleries. There were lots of things that we wanted to bring home, one of which was a lifesize iron horse. We withstood temptation and settled for a 3.5 km walk to the next town of Turner Valley. As you can see the snow has left the trail. We had tea and coffee and shared a piece of blueberry cheesecake. Walking back was tiring but pleasant.
A peaceful evening with a really good paella, a Pink Panther movie on the tube, a chat with Liam and off to bed.

We heard back from a few of you so it seems that it's out there.
We will be leaving for the coast on March 8th to see Sheelagh's Mom and Dad. We'll housesit for Jackie and Adrian while they explore New Zealand for a month or so. Liam and Janelle and the girls will come out to see Dorian as he will be coming over for 2 weeks. Needless to say, we are very excited about having the kids around us even though it is for a short spell.
Have a great weekend, Geo

Hi all,
We are doing a little experiment with blogging. This is in advance of any trips we may take in the future. Your role is to look at it, report if you can find it and give creative feedback as you feel moved (I know, I know, THE ROLLING STONES, HARDLY ORIGINAL). We have been trying to find a way to keep our loved ones apprised of our adventures with photo and perhaps even video components in addition to script.
So here goes. I'm going to try to add a photo or two to this as well. So let's hear from ya.
Love, Shush and Geo
